Invest in the future of our children and communities by giving to CASA
Through the support of people like you, we at CASA, First Judicial District, will continue to carry on in our mission to advocate for abused and neglected children in our communities. Since 1995, we have helped thousands of kids move to safe, loving, permanent homes. We are currently able to assign a volunteer advocate to every child in our district that needs one -- an enviable position!
Our budget is small compared to other CASA programs with similar caseloads, but it has been heavily impacted by cuts in our funding from the State Judiciary Budget by over 20% in the last two fiscal years. Based on the most recent assessment by the National CASA Association, our program is both highly cost effective and well below the national average of cost/child, but it still takes approximately $1000 to provide a dedicated CASA volunteer to advocate for a foster child each year.
Our goal is to continue to have a properly trained and supported volunteer appointed to every case and every child. With your support, we can do it!
It's tax deductible
As a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization (Federal Tax ID# 85-0432642), your contribution to CASA is tax deductible. And as always, your donation will further the good work being done in your community. Gifts of every size are needed to serve the kids, and all gifts are greatly appreciated. An investment in CASA is an investment in the health, safety, and future of our community.
